Verses on Friday

Happy Friday, everyone!  I'm so happy it's the weekend!

Welcome back to my Verses on Friday post.  Today, my sweet Verses DT sister, Tammy Hershberger, is posting her Verses on Friday post as well.  Make sure you stop by her blog and give her some love!

Can you believe it's March now?!  I'm sooooo looking forward to Spring.  I saw some daffodil leaves peeking out of the ground this week.  It gives me some hope that Winter is almost gone!  (Well, one can hope....)  My desire for Spring and the fact that St. Patrick's Day is around the corner is where my inspiration came from this week!

This week, I'm using Verses Rubber Stamp QQ0811-F "An Irish Blessing".  Pretty appropriate, huh?  I paired it with Northwoods Rubber Stamp P6906.  I'm teaching a class at Stamp Your Art Out next week using Northwoods Stamps and watercoloring with markers and using glitter glue.  This was a "practice" piece I did.  I'm really pleased with how it turned it.

It may be hard to see, but I heat embossed a second stamp, cut out the butterfly and "popped" it up, to give the card a 3 dimensional effect.  I have to say, I threw just about everything on this flower and butterfly.  LOL.  I used Tombow Markers, Memento Markers, Twinkling H2Os, Ranger Stickles and Distress Stickles on it.  You really cannot tell from the photo, but there is a lot of shine on this card!

I hope you enjoyed my Verses card this week. Make sure you stop back next week- I'm going to try to use the same stamp again.  I feel a St. Patrick's Day card coming!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

  1. GORGEOUS card, Heather! That flower is fabulous! I need to look that one up at Northwoods... it's so pretty! (Sorry I'm late this week with commenting... too many directions to go in lately!)
