First of all, I have to say this before I explode- Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU to everyone who has stopped by my blog over the past two weeks. I've had some wonderful visitors who have sent me emails and I love it. I love getting to know you all! And for those who have chosen to "follow" my blog, I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to have you following me. And last but not least, to those who have left comments for me, an extra big Thank You. Your posts were amazing and so encouraging to me! Don't you just love a hobby where everyone supports and encourages each other!
Just to let you know, if you do send me an email, I will be happy to write you back! So if you ever have a question about a stamp I use or a technique I've done, just send me a note and I will answer your question if I can!
Don't forget, we have less than a week until my "Blog Candy" giveaway! If you have not read the post with the details, go here. Also, if you leave more than one comment or become a follower, I will put your name in the drawing for each comment and one for when you choose to follow. So, feel free to leave some love!
SHOOO! I was really "wordy" today. But let's get to what you really came for- this week's Verses card:
I made this card by stamping Verses Rubber Stamp MC1203 "Salt of the Ocean" with Distress Ink "Stormy Sky" on thick glossy paper. Before I stamped it, though, I heat embossed the shells using Hero Arts CL383 "Antique Engravings" with Ranger Detail White embossing powder. Then I rubbed Distress Inks Scattered Straw, Concord Grape and Stormy Sky on the glossy paper. If you not done this before, the embossed image "resists" the ink (for the most part). Its a very fun technique to play with. I love doing it and encourage you to give it a try if you've never done it before.
You can find my supply list below.
That's it for this week. Thanks for coming by to take a look! I can't wait for the drawing next week!
Hope you get the time to "play" with paper and ink this week,
Heather

Heather, this card is beautiful and the verse is so true. I love to go to the beach and just set and listen to the ocean, it is my freedom from work and just general stress. Hope you have this stamp at Stampaway in Aug. Hope to see you there. Sharon
ReplyDeleteI love this card. A tutorial on this technique would be wonderful.
