Verses on Friday

It's Friday again!  My how fast the weeks go.  But I love Fridays, because I get to share another Verses card with you.  And my Verses Design Team Friend, Tammy Hershberger, is back with me again today sharing her Verses on Friday project.   I can't wait to see what she comes up with each week.  She's so talented!  Make sure you stop by and take a look.

The Verses Rubber Stamp that I worked with this week is "Rainbow" QQ0704-D.  Don't be surprised if you see me use this stamp many times.  I love the sentiment and have many plans for using it.  But I guess I'm still in a "Valentine" mood- so this week it's romantic.   On the inside, I thought I would write "And all the 'rain' was worth it when I found you".

The couple with the umbrella is Unity stamp  Item #IB-10 "Rain or Shine".  I paper pieced them with Basic Grey's "Color Me Silly" paper.   Unfortunately, the Color Me Silly line is retired.  (But here is the funny part- while cleaning my studio, I found a whole unopened pack of this Designer Paper.  HA!  Don't you love it when you can go shopping in your own studio.)  I enjoy paper piecing and yes, you will see me do a lot of stamping on patterned paper.  It does take some time to cut everything out, but I love the way it turns out.

I also used Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Ten to cut out the front of the card.  The couple is placed on the inside of the card.  And I finished the inside with some more Color Me Silly paper.

Thanks for stopping by again today.  Hope you come back again next week.  Have a great weekend.  And I would love to have you follow my blog!

  1. That paper works PERFECTLY for piecing the umbrella, and what a CUTE image to pair with that sentiment! Great design Heather, and neat addition to the sentiment on the inside!
